This is the first time we have joined “Giving Tuesday.” In all our years of providing information and activities to improve brain health and general wellbeing in individuals and communities, we have paid for the many costs of our work out of our own pockets.
We have always supported the idea of a special day that encourages people to consciously give to deserving nonprofit projects like ours. In fact, we give to other organizations regularly. Here is a link to the Giving Tuesday website: https://www.givingtuesday.org/
But this year, as we have taken on more staff to help us expand our services, we have realized that self-funding no longer works. Much of our behind-the-scenes assistance comes from retired professionals who still need income. We want to pay them what they are worth. We can’t do that without your help.
What Do Your Contributions Enable Us to Do?
We are able to revamp -- and keep updating -- our website, email newsletter, blogs, Facebook group, and podcast by relying on our staff’s expertise.
We are able to produce professionally edited podcasts and articles featuring experts from a variety of fields thanks to our staff’s extensive media experience.
We are able to bring you current news about healthful aging that is relevant, engaging, and easy to digest because we all spend time researching our topics.
We are able to bring us all into a larger, richer conversation with others via Substack, LinkedIn, and Facebook because of our staff’s know-how.
Since they believe as strongly as we do in the Ageless Mind Project, their enthusiasm and dedication keep us going.
How Can You Contribute to the Ageless Mind Project?
You can go directly to our website: https://www.agelessmindproject.org/donate/
You can become a paid subscribe to this Substack for $8.00 a month or $80.00 a year. Larger donations are also gratefully accepted.
We think of members of our Facebook group (Design Your Ageless Mind), and subscribers to our Substack as a family that shares questions, ideas, life experiences, joys, sorrows, and grows together as we all grow older.
Thank you for whatever kind of support you can give this work.
