We were in Washington DC with our family for New Year's. The day after we arrived, I fell in a restaurant and broke my nose! I was lucky that the damage wasn't worse--especially to my brain. The Urgent Care and ER there checked me out thoroughly.
BUT this has made the article, "Seven of our Best Brain Tips for a Healthier, Happier Life in 2024" by neuroscientist Richard Sima, in the January 2nd edition of the Washington Post, even more relevant. Here are his 7 tips:
Stop and listen to the birds
Take care of your teeth and gums
Channel your inner "Super Ager"
Do a 5-Minute breathing exercise
Take steps to reduce inflammation
Hug or hold hands
Let your mind wander
Over the next 7 days I will share each tip in more detail. Let me know if these sound interesting and/or helpful to you. If you too have experienced a mishap that taught you something valuable, please share. Meanwhile, I will be visiting the dentist to see whether I damaged my front teeth.
More soon,
Lynne

Most of all, we are eager to hear from you in the comments section below. What are you interested in exploring with us? What concerns you? What kind of ageless mind do you want to design?
So scary how quickly something like this can happen! I'm very thankful you didn't suffer more damage.
Glad you are alright and nothing worse happened. One thing in aging healthy is that any given event can start a cascade after which health deteriorates quickly. So, always important to avoid that happening.
