You’ll notice that we use action words when we describe an ageless mind: words like curious, alert, creative, engaged, flexible, optimistic, playful, reflective.…
What other words would you add to describe the kind of ageless mind you want to develop?
To help you with your mind-building process, we regularly post articles called “Voices from the Field,” based on informal conversations with our readers, which highlight the surprising variety of new activities they have begun exploring as they grow older. Sometimes these explorations have been made by choice and sometimes by necessity!
We also talk with experts about the science of aging, including the physical, cognitive, emotional and spiritual practices that will lead to greater wellbeing as you try them out and learn which ones work best for you — because one size doesn’t fit all.
And now we’re adding another activity to this Substack, one that can exponentially increase your success in designing your ageless mind.
In the coming week you will be invited to create a personal journal. Aided by prompts from our special guests and beautiful templates provided for download, you will be encouraged to explore, reflect on, and practice techniques that will help you design your own ageless mind.
Your journal will hold the history of your change and growth over time through words, images, and any other media you’d like to use. Your journal will be both unqiue and an invaluable source of wisdom as you record and reflect on your process. Who knows where your discoveries may lead?
So, watch for our journal posts this coming Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We will start with Phil Youngblood’s suggestions for connecting with Nature. Which of them will you experiment with and record in your journal?
